The Oxfordshire flag shows an ox wading across a ford, with wavy bars beneath for the Thames and the Cherwell, which meet below the city of Oxford.
The punning ox-and-ford emblem appears on Oxford's medieval seal and has featured on the arms of both the city and the county council for centuries. The design was registered with the Flag Institute as Oxfordshire's county flag in 2017.
It flies on college and civic poles, at Henley Royal Regatta, at Banbury and Blenheim events and in villages from the Chilterns to the Cotswold edge.
