Christmas flags for the pole, the pub and the school

A Christmas flag on the garden pole is the quickest way to dress the front of a house without a ladder, and the designs here cover the whole of December. The Merry Christmas Red flag and the Merry Christmas Blue flag are the greetings flags, stocked in 20x12in, 3ft x 2ft, 5ft x 3ft and 8ft x 5ft in Flagtex and DuraFlag, with a green version in 3ft x 2ft and 5ft x 3ft. When they go up

Most Christmas flags go up for the lights switch-on in late November or on Advent Sunday and come down on Twelfth Night, 5 January. Pubs and restaurants use them for the party-season weeks from the first office do to New Year’s Eve; schools and nurseries for the nativity play, the carol concert and the Christmas fair; garden centres and farm shops for the grotto and the tree-sales yard; and care homes, churches and village halls for the carol service. Which size Christmas flag?

5ft x 3ft is the garden-pole, pub-front and school-hall size; 3ft x 2ft fits a porch, a window or a short pole; 8ft x 5ft is for a flagpole, a garden-centre yard or a stage; 20x12in goes on a hand pole, a car or a sleigh. Every flag has a sewn header and brass eyelets, and the DuraFlag versions take clips or a rope and toggle.

Flagtex or DuraFlag?

Flagtex is the printed woven polyester from £6.99 for a 5ft x 3ft and plenty for a flag that flies for the five or six weeks of the season. DuraFlag, available on the red, blue, Scene, North Pole and Moon designs, is the 150gsm knitted grade with double-stitched hems for a flag that goes up every year on an exposed pole. All of it is stocked in and dispatched from our Stoke-on-Trent warehouse, same day before 2pm, which matters in the last week before Christmas.

Christmas bunting

Christmas rectangle bunting mixes festive designs along one run and the giant Christmas bunting has oversized pennants for a high street, a pub frontage or a school hall. The Merry Christmas text bunting spells the greeting along the tape, and the red and blue Merry Christmas bunting come in 3m and 9m on weatherproof polyester. A 9m length runs the length of a bar or a classroom wall; the giant length crosses a street.

Hand flags and table flags

Merry Christmas red hand flags and blue hand flags on wooden sticks come in 9x6in and 18x12in for the nativity audience, the Santa parade and the sleigh run.
