Sporting Flags – Chequered Flags, Club Colours, Racing & Olympic Flags

Flags for the paddock, the terrace, the finish line and the clubhouse. The black and white chequered flag is the motorsport and go-kart flag, the claret and sky check is one of a run of two-colour check flags in club colours for supporters who cannot fly a crest, and the Olympic rings flag covers a school games day or a sports-club open evening. Each section below has the full-size flags in 5ft x 3ft and up, with bunting, hand flags and table flags to match.

Four sporting sections, one warehouse

Sporting flags split into four groups here. Chequered flags are the two-colour check designs: the black and white for motorsport, karting and the end of a fun run, and the red and white, blue and white, claret and sky, green and white and a dozen more that stand in for a club's colours on a terrace or outside a pub on match day. Club colours are the striped and halved supporter flags, bunting and windsocks in the same team palettes. Racing gathers the marshal and signal flags of a circuit, the plain red, yellow, green and blue marshal signal flags in the same sizes and the chequered bunting for a paddock, and Olympics and Paralympics has the rings and agitos flags with bunting and hand flags. A one-off like the Taekwondo flag sits at this level.

National teams are under the country hubs

If you want a flag for a football, rugby or cricket nation rather than a club, it is on the country page, because the same flag serves the fan, the school and the expat: England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and every other nation under world flags. Tournament collections such as the Six Nations and the World Cup are under upcoming events, and a club crest or a sponsor's logo on a flag is a job for the custom flag service.

Sizes, fittings and grades

The standard supporter and chequered flag is 5ft x 3ft Flagtex at £7.99 with eyelets, with 3ft x 2ft at £6.99 for a window or a short pole and 8ft x 5ft at £19.99 for a clubhouse pole; the chequered designs also come sleeved for a hand-held pole, as a nylon flag and as a 150gsm DuraFlag with clips for a circuit or a sports ground that flies it every weekend. Hand flags in 9x6in and 18x12in, chequered triangle bunting and 6x4in table flags cover the pits, the marquee and the trophy table. All of it is stocked in and dispatched from our Stoke-on-Trent warehouse, same day before 2pm, with free 1 to 2 day UK delivery, which is normally quick enough for a fixture moved by the television schedule.

Sporting flag FAQs

Which flag do I need to finish a race?

The black and white chequered flag in 5ft x 3ft; the sleeved version slides onto a pole for waving at the line and the eyeleted version ties to a gantry or a fence.

Do you sell flags in my club's colours?

Almost certainly: the chequered and club-colours sections cover the common two-colour combinations, from claret and sky to black and gold, as flags, bunting and windsocks, without using a crest.

Can I have my club crest printed on a flag?

Yes, through the custom flag service, which prints to your artwork in the EU; the stock designs here are crest-free so that they can be sold to any supporter.

Which size suits a football terrace or a pub?

5ft x 3ft for a pub frontage, a garden pole or a terrace rail; 8ft x 5ft for a clubhouse flagpole; 3ft x 2ft for a window, a car boot or a bar wall.

Are the Olympic flags official merchandise?

They are stock printed flags of the rings and the Paralympic agitos for schools, clubs and street parties, not licensed Games merchandise.

Where are the national team flags?

Under the country hubs: England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland under British and Irish flags, everything else under world flags, each with bunting, hand flags and table flags on the same page.
