Samoa (American) Flag

Description

The American Samoa Flag was officially adopted in 1960 and is a proud representation of American Samoa's cultural heritage and its status as a U.S. territory. The flag's design features a blue field with a red and white diagonal stripe, which emphasizes the relationship with the United States. The eagle holding a staff symbolizes the strength, power, and self-sufficiency of American Samoa, while the colors red, white, and blue are directly tied to the U.S. flag, reinforcing the territory's connection to the United States.

The American Samoa Flag is flown during various national holidays, public events, and cultural celebrations such as American Samoa Flag Day, which is celebrated every year on April 17th. This flag represents the pride and unity of the people of American Samoa, showcasing their distinct culture while also celebrating their place within the United States. It is also used in official ceremonies and public displays across the islands, as well as at U.S. government institutions in the territory.

Made from durable polyester, the American Samoa Flag is designed to withstand the elements and retain its vibrant colors for years. Whether displayed during cultural celebrations, flown outside government buildings, or kept as part of a collection, this flag will continue to represent the pride and heritage of American Samoa, ensuring it remains a lasting symbol of the territory's identity within the United States.
