Peru No Crest DuraFlag

Peru's civil flag, sold here as the Peru No Crest DuraFlag, is a simple vertical triband of red, white and red with no emblem.

Legend says San Martín chose the colours after seeing flamingos with red wings and white breasts take flight on the coast in 1820. The plain triband is the version flown by the public, while the crested flag is kept for state use.

Peruvian families and restaurants fly it for Fiestas Patrias in July, and football fans take it to matches of La Blanquirroja. Choose the Peru No Crest DuraFlag where a flag will be up for a whole season; the knitted fabric copes with wind and rain far longer than a lightweight print.
