Orkney Pre 2007 Flag

The Orkney Pre 2007 flag is the St Magnus Cross: a red Nordic cross on a yellow field.

Named after St Magnus, the islands' patron saint and earl, to whom Kirkwall's cathedral is dedicated, it was the unofficial flag widely flown in Orkney until 2007. That year the islands chose a new official design by public vote, but the older banner is still seen around the isles.

Buyers include Orcadian families, sailors and collectors who want the flag as it flew before the change. The Orkney Pre 2007 Flag is printed on woven polyester, a lightweight cloth that flies easily and folds away for the next occasion. Sized at 5ft x 3ft, the Orkney Pre 2007 Flag is the most common flag size in the UK and fits a typical 6m pole.
