The Monmouthshire flag is split vertically, blue nearest the pole and black in the fly, with three gold fleurs-de-lis, two over one, straddling the line between them.
The design was registered with the Flag Institute as the county flag in 2011 and now flies from County Hall at Usk and Shire Hall in Monmouth, and over castles such as Chepstow, Raglan and Abergavenny on special days.
It goes up on St David's Day and county occasions, at Abergavenny Food Festival, the Usk Show and Monmouth Regatta, and at village halls across the Wye Valley.
