The Owain Glyndŵr flag is quartered red and gold, with a lion rampant in each quarter in the opposite colour: gold lions on red, red lions on gold.
The banner was used by Owain Glyndŵr, the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales, during his rising that began in 1400. It derives from the arms of the princes of Gwynedd.
It flies on Owain Glyndŵr Day, 16 September, on St David's Day, at Machynlleth and Corwen, and at Welsh rugby and football matches.
