The New Brunswick flag carries a gold lion passant on a red band across the top, above an ancient galley with oars sailing on blue and white waves on a gold field.
Based on the provincial coat of arms granted in 1868, the flag was proclaimed in 1965. The lion recalls the province's ties to Brunswick and to Britain, while the galley stands for the shipbuilding and sea trade that built towns such as Saint John.
It flies on New Brunswick Day in early August, at Canada Day gatherings in the UK and with people who have Maritime family history. The New Brunswick Flag is printed on woven polyester, a lightweight cloth that flies easily and folds away for the next occasion. The New Brunswick Flag comes in the popular 5ft x 3ft size, right for most garden and club flagpoles as well as walls and windows.
- New Brunswick Flag sizes: 5ft x 3ft (150 x 90 cm)
- Grade: woven polyester
- Fittings: eyelets
Each New Brunswick Flag we sell is stocked in and dispatched from our Stoke-on-Trent warehouse.
