Sardinia DuraFlag

The Sardinia flag shows the Quattro Mori: a red cross on a white field with a black Moor's head wearing a white headband in each quarter.

The four heads derive from arms used by the Crown of Aragon, which ruled the island from the fourteenth century, and the flag was adopted officially in 1999 with the heads facing away from the hoist.

It flies at Cagliari matches, at Sardinian festivals and restaurants and at holiday homes on the island.
