Somaliland Flags

The flag of Somaliland was adopted in 1996 when it became it's own state. The design is very similar to the Iranian flag, using the three horizontal tri-bands of green, white and red. In the upper green bar is a scripture of the Shahada, similar to the Saudi Arabian flag. In Somaliland itself, it is illegal to fly this flag at anytime as it is seen to be disrespectful to the religion as it contains the Shahada, if anybody is seen flying it at half mast, they can be taken to jail or to court and it would be considered as a criminal offense.

With such a strong religious meaning to the flag, it only deserves the best. Here at Midland Flags we aim to keep the flag at it's best with all our flags made from knitted polyester material and available in our small and regular flag sizes, perfect for the high flyers. Perhaps you're celebrating a national holiday or party, then our superb Somaliland Bunting, Table Flags and Handl Flags are exactly what you need; each available in multiple sizes to suit any venue.
